What is Skilliby and why is it needed?
1. What is Skilliby in simple words?
Skilliby is a platform for confirming and developing professional skills: short practical tasks turn into a measurable profile that shows your current level, strengths and growth areas. In the future, companies will be able to find suitable specialists using this profile data.
2. Why do I need Skilliby?
Skilliby helps you understand your current skill level, track your progress, and choose what to develop next. With regular practice, you develop an up-to-date professional profile with strengths and growth areas.
3. Is this an app for training, testing, skill assessment or creating a professional profile?
This is a platform for validating and developing skills: assignments serve as an assessment mechanism, reports and cards help reinforce knowledge, and the main result is a constantly updated professional profile.
4. What problem does Skilliby solve for me personally?
Skilliby helps you understand the state of your own skills: it shows the current level, dynamics, strengths and specific areas of growth. On this basis, you can choose what to practice next and check the results in subsequent sessions.
5. What exactly will I get after using Skilliby?
After the first session you will see the result and change in score, and with regular practice you will receive a progress history, weekly reports and knowledge cards. This data forms an up-to-date picture of your skills.
6. How is Skilliby different from resumes, LinkedIn, certifications and conventional tests?
A resume and LinkedIn describe experience and skills in a professional profile format, a certificate validates individual training or achievement, and a one-time test records the result of a single assessment. Skilliby accumulates the results of repeated practice sessions and creates an updated profile with each skill's current level, dynamics, strengths and growth areas.
7. Why are my experience and skills list on my resume not enough?
Experience and a list of skills provide important professional context. Skilliby complements these with current scores and trends that the company will be able to match in the future to the skills and levels it defines for a specific search.
8. How can Skilliby help me understand my true professional level?
The system evaluates your decisions in short tasks and accumulates a history separately by skill. On this basis, a dynamic indicator is formed, which becomes more informative as new sessions occur.
9. Will Skilliby show me what I'm good at and what I need to improve on?
Yes. Skill profiles and weekly reports highlight strengths and specific growth areas, while knowledge cards help address identified gaps.
10. Who is Skilliby created for?
Skilliby is designed for working professionals of all levels—from beginners to seasoned professionals—who want to measure and develop skills. In the future, companies will be able to specify the skills and levels they need and find users whose profiles are closest to those criteria.
11. Is Skilliby suitable for a beginner?
Yes. A novice specialist will be able to determine the starting level, see gaps and gradually create a profile with proven skills and development dynamics.
12. Is there any benefit for an experienced specialist?
Yes: Skilliby shows you which of your skills are supported by your current results, where gaps appear, and what needs to be maintained with practice. If you decide to change direction or consider offers from companies, the accumulated profile will already reflect the current level, and after launching a search for companies, the system will be able to compare it with the criteria they set.
13. Do I need Skilliby if I'm not currently looking for a job?
Yes: the profile's value builds over time—regular sessions accumulate a history of assessments and keep your skills data current even before you start your job search. When you decide to change jobs or consider offers from companies, the profile will already contain current ratings and dynamics, and after launching a search for companies, the system will be able to compare it with the criteria they set.
14. How can Skilliby help me develop my career?
It shows which skills are already strong, which ones require attention, and how the level changes over time. In the future, companies will be able to find your profile when your verified skills match their search criteria.
15. Why is regularity important to Skilliby?
Regular sessions provide the system with new observations on skills, so the profile reflects a more recent level and sustainable dynamics. They also help differentiate regular progress from the result of a single test.
How it all works
16. What happens after installing the application?
You will register, select the assignment language, professional area and skills, take the first assessed session and set up a convenient schedule. After this, Skilliby will begin to build your dynamic skills profile.
17. Where do you start working with Skilliby?
From a short profile setup and the first assessed task, the result of which is immediately included in the progress. The goal of the first launch is to show the mechanics and the first measurable result in a few minutes.
18. Do I need to choose a profession, field and skills?
During setup, you need to select one work area and at least one skill; The recommended starting set includes several Hard skills and Soft skills. This choice sets the context for the assignments and determines which skills Skilliby will build your profile on.
19. What skills can I assess?
More than 1,500 skills are available in Skilliby: Hard skills from 20 professional areas and more than 100 Soft skills. The range of available Hard skills depends on the chosen field, and the catalog continues to expand.
20. Does Skilliby have Hard skills and Soft skills?
Yes. Hard skills are assessed in the context of the chosen field, and Soft skills are assessed through work situations, decisions, communication and behavioral strategies.
21. What should I do if my skill or profession is not listed?
You can select the closest suitable area and skill, and send a proposal to expand the catalog to hello@skilliby.com. After expanding the catalog, you can add the desired specialty or skill to your profile.
22. How are tasks organized in Skilliby?
The assignment describes a short work situation and offers several options. The user considers each option separately and determines whether it is suitable for the described situation.
23. Is it possible to see a sample assignment before registering?
Currently, the sample assignment is not available before registration. The first task can be seen in onboarding after creating an account.
24. How does Skilliby select tasks specifically for me?
Skilliby generates tasks based on the skills and work area you choose. This allows you to evaluate skills in situations related to your professional field.
25. Is artificial intelligence used to create tasks?
Yes, Skilliby uses artificial intelligence to create assignments.
26. How long does one session take?
One session usually takes a few minutes. Its duration depends on how many tasks you selected for one session when setting up the schedule.
27. How often should tasks be completed?
The frequency is determined by the user within the weekly limit of his plan. A regular rhythm keeps assessments and progress history current.
28. What do the day and time on the schedule mean?
The day and time you select determines when jobs become available. Once the task appears, you can complete it later - the exact availability period is indicated in the application.
29. Can I choose my own days and times?
Yes. In your profile, you can configure active days, sending times and the number of tasks per session within the tariff, and then change the schedule.
30. Can I complete tasks in my preferred language?
Yes. The task language is configured separately from the application language, so the interface and tasks can be in different languages.
31. What happens after the task is completed?
After completing a task, the scores for the affected skills and overall progress are updated. The results of completed sessions are also taken into account in the professional profile, weekly report and knowledge cards.
32. How is my level calculated?
The level is formed based on the results of completed tasks for each skill. New sessions update the score and help show your current level more accurately.
33. What do the scores and rating changes mean?
Points show the contribution of a particular session to the current skill score: strong decisions increase it, errors can reduce it. Use them as a dynamic indicator of development and current practice.
34. How do my levels change over time?
New results are entered into a rolling history for the skill, so the profile gradually reflects more recent practice. The update occurs after tasks completed by the user.
35. What happens if I answer incorrectly or miss a task?
Wrong decisions can affect the assessment of the relevant skill. A clearly missed task does not change the grade, and interruption of an already started task can be counted as a zero attempt.
36. Is it possible to correct a weak result with subsequent sessions?
Yes. The profile is built on a series of results, so further practice may show growth and change the current score.
Benefits and professional results
37. What exactly will be shown on my profile?
The profile shows the selected skills, their current ratings, the overall picture of Hard skills and Soft skills and the dynamics of results.
38. Will I see a separate level for each skill?
Yes. Assessment and history are maintained for each skill separately, so your profile shows which skills are stronger and where additional practice is needed.
39. How does Skilliby determine my strengths?
Strengths are skills in which you show consistently high results. They are displayed in your profile and help you see the competencies confirmed by your practice.
40. How does the system find knowledge gaps?
Growth zones show the skills and topics in which you are more likely to fail. Reports and knowledge cards help you understand what you should pay attention to.
41. What is included in the weekly report?
The report contains the number of tasks completed, accuracy, week summary, strong results and focus areas by skill. It is based on actual activity, so in the absence of completed tasks, there may be no new meaningful conclusions.
42. What are knowledge cards and why are they needed?
The cards turn identified gaps into short explanations, rules, common mistakes and a mini-test. With their help, the user strengthens knowledge of specific growth zones.
43. Will I receive recommendations on what to study or practice next?
Yes. Reports and flashcards focus attention on specific skills and topics where current results show potential for growth.
44. Does Skilliby help you develop skills or just measure them?
Skilliby simultaneously validates your level and supports your skill development. Reports, knowledge cards and mini-assessments create a short cycle of practice around identified gaps.
45. How long will it take for me to see useful results?
The first measurable result appears after the first task assessed, usually within a few minutes of starting the setup. A more reliable picture emerges with regular sessions.
46. Is it possible to track progress over several weeks or months?
Currently, Skilliby does not have a separate graph for progress over several weeks or months. Your profile displays your current scores and a rolling history of recent scores for each skill.
47. Will my profile become more accurate if I complete tasks regularly?
Yes. Repeated sessions provide more relevant observations on different skills and scenarios, so the profile more accurately reflects the current level and dynamics of development.
48. Will my profile be visible to companies or recruiters?
Now your profile is available only to you. Planned: Once company profiles are launched, you will be able to make it available to companies or recruiters.

The assessment is based on your actions in tasks and uniform rules for all users. For professional decisions, it should be considered together with experience, portfolio and human assessment.

A single scale means that Skilliby calculates the results of all users according to the same rules and presents them in a comparable format, even if the tasks are personalized.
52. How can Soft skills be measured using assignments?
Soft skills are assessed by what action strategies the user chooses in different professional situations. The assessment of a specific Soft skill is formed based on the combined results of several tasks.
53. Are all users rated using the same rules?

54. Is the difficulty level of tasks taken into account?

57. Who is responsible for the quality of assignments?
Skilliby is responsible for the quality of assignments. If you notice an error or a controversial option, please report it to hello@skilliby.com.
58. What happens if there is an error or a controversial answer in the task?
One controversial result does not define the entire profile, since the assessment is formed based on a series of tasks. If you find a bug, you can report it to hello@skilliby.com.
59. Is it possible to cheat the system or complete tasks using AI?
Skilliby analyzes behavior during tasks and can identify persistent signs of AI use or outside assistance. If such a pattern is detected, the profile may receive a flag that, once company profiles are launched, will affect its visibility in search results.
60. Can one bad day ruin my entire profile?
No. The profile is based on rolling history and continues to be updated with new sessions, so the impact of an individual attempt changes as new results become available.
61. Does a Skilliby assessment replace a professional exam or diploma?
No. Skilliby shows the current picture of skills; a professional exam and diploma confirm other aspects of the qualification.

62. Is Skilliby free?
Skilliby offers a free Explorer plan that allows you to create a profile, complete assignments, and receive a weekly report.
63. What's available for free?

64. Why do you need a paid subscription?

65. Do I need to enter a bank card to get started?

68. Is it necessary to allow push notifications?
No. The permission can be enabled later; with it, the application delivers timely reminders about tasks and weekly reports.
69. Can I use the application without a set schedule?
To complete the initial setup, you need at least one active day of the schedule, because regular tasks are the basis of an up-to-date profile. Later, the settings and status of reminders can be changed in Profile, but the system push resolution remains a separate choice.
70. Can I change my chosen field, skills and language later?
Yes. Content language, interface language, selected skills, context and schedule are managed from the profile, taking into account the limits of the current plan.
71. How much time should you spend on Skilliby per week?
The user sets the rhythm himself, and a separate session usually takes several minutes; the exact expected time is shown before the start. Even a short period of regular practice is more beneficial for the relevance of your profile than an infrequent, long-term review.
72. What should I do if I temporarily don’t want to receive assignments?
Schedules and notifications can be changed or turned off in your profile. During a pause, the profile saves the latest results, and its relevance will continue to be updated after new sessions.
